great round-up. only complaint is not enough footnotes. well actually, shocked you don't have The Food Lab on your list of top cookbooks. it's been my go-to inspiration for many years.
as an official No Recipe Guy™️ I find my main source of inspiration these days is just whatever looks good at the local market. fun to riff on past dishes and techniques with different ingredients
Honestly, I don’t have it. Will have to check it out.
And yes, I think the best inspiration is what’s local and available — hence why you see so many fish recipes on here: it’s fun to let our fish share set the proverbial table. I like to use these as ways to expand what can be on the menu.
That being said, we rotate through a lot of the same basic blueprints here when actually planning meals… that just wouldn’t be so much fun for you as the reader, now would it.
Love today's post. It did not require any work for me to duplicate a recipe this weekend. Well, maybe the #15 footnote--that chicken sounds great, and pretty easy, too.
I am bummed that I cannot submit the Hobo Chicken recipe, for your readers' enjoyment. No one would really want to make it, but it would be comic relief....although you have that covered, too.
Founder of CWD-- you are amazing no matter what you do. You give it your all, and sink your teeth (literally) into everything. You are constantly challenging yourself, and sharing parts of yourself that jumpstart everyone around you into thinking outside the box, as well as doing.
Grandfather CWD and Nana CWD (and we are extremely proud of these roles, that just keep expanding to include more humans) choose you as Citizen of the Year in Citrus County (we've submitted your name to The Chronicle, even though you know longer live here you are still considered home boy). We are so proud of the man, father, husband, son, brother, friend....you are. Very early on we knew you would do great things--and the great things you do are the ones that bring joy to all our lives (not like: building a car from scratch--I actually prefer that you can make Beef Stroganoff from scratch).
And I totally love the idea of writing down your goals on a piece of paper and immediately burning the paper and never speaking of them again. Not only does it allow the universe to discern your intention, but it takes a lot of the weight off of trying to keep them. You have the option giving someone (something?) else the power to fulfill them, but you always have that knowledge in your mind that it really needs to come from you. And what I love most about you, is that you always control your own reins.

Thank you for the permission! I will post the hobo chicken recipe 1) when I learn how to post, and 2) when I remember it.

For that loving and gushing praise, I think you have permission to post the hobo chicken recipe!
