Yes, Nana CWD will comment when she has time later today to fully digest this piece. Nana CWD wants to win "Comment of the Week" every week, as I've been informed that will enable me to continue with the free subscription to CWD. I love winning.

Give me a few hours to think of something really witty, that rivals yours.

Yes, I fully agree with most everything in your article. One things I'd change--in the "Top 5-Thanks," #5 should be #1. Then the rest follows suit.

Appetizers are totally not required. It is very annoying when guests (and even me) stuff ourselves with unnecessary and totally irrelevant food before the Thanksgiving meal. It starts you off already being over-stuffed, with less room to over-stuff on the good stuff.

Also, GOOD stuffing is not overrated. Bad stuffing is just a waste of time and ingredients.

I agree about dessert not being the real priority, but it is indeed totally necessary. What Thanksgiving meal would be complete without pies? Even if it's just Marie Callender from the grocer's freezer, it is still worth the effort of serving dessert. Dessert is the time you can sit and try to digest, while ingesting more, with the feeling that you are doing your Thanksgiving holiday duty.

So sad we will not be with you on Thanksgiving this year. I just don't feel like doing dishes this year. And I have to say, I think you have finally outdone me in the cooking world. I just can't keep up, and am certain I will have a Butterball turkey. (Remember our first Thanksgiving not going to Grammy's? I had never cooked a turkey in my life, and spent a mega-fortune on a smoked turkey ordered from Neiman Marcus. It was way too small, way too dry, way way way overpriced, and very disappointing. I learned a major lesson there...).
