Plowman's Lunch: Beach Week Edition
Good reads, good looks, and good eats from the salt spray.
As I mentioned last week, the Family CWD has been down the shore for the last week, soaking in the last of summer. With all the activity — beach days, pool parties, spearfishing, reading No More Noisy Nights on repeat — I haven’t had much time to write. So instead, I’m going to leave you with a plowman’s lunch — some things to read, some imagery to set a late summer mood, and some photos of what we’ve eaten recently1 to maybe inspire.
We’ll see you back here next week with a return to our usual programming and an update on Uncle Steady and my spearfishing adventures.
Enjoy the weekend, folks.

Apologies to Papa CWD, but I didn’t get a single photo of the half-bushel of crabs we put down. Next year.
Technically, three: “Radical Baby Steps” and “On Knowing a Guy,” which were combined into one double feature, and “How to Box a Lobster,” which is one of my favorite essays I’ve written in awhile.
And thanks again😂. Spearfishing is something I've been daydreaming about getting into since a January snorkeling trip in Mexico. Researched the gear, just gotta pull the trigger on it.
It's a pleasure, Lou!
