Lamb is one of the few foods I can eat with a deranged immune system. The picture you shared may be one of the most beautiful hunks of lamb I have yet to see. Well done.
The prospect of hunting turkey on the vineyard has my eyes real wide. Hope we get to hear about that. Clams and crabs have my heart though. Can’t lose - have fun.
I'm tickled pink you should flag my lamb dish - tickled as pink as that photo of YOUR lamb, which looks mouthwatering. And you've almost persuaded me to head down to my local salvage yard tosetbup a coffee roaster. But I haven't enough initiative.
I like this post ^. And thanks for the link to Julia's recipe. I'll give it a go. It's nice to get out of the "continental" seasoning scheme and consider cumin, cardamon and cinnamon for a savory dish. Somewhere deep down in that chest freezer there are some lamb shanks. It'll be a good workout to dig them out. Have a great trip to the island. Gobble gobble.
I don’t know if a trip with my kids will be a candidate for a “brain cleanse” for another decade, at least — but, we’re managing to have fun! Thanks, Baird!

Thanks, Sam — there are worse foods to be restricted to!
Well done for sure, but medium rare too.
I'm here for it.

Thanks, Jenna! Stay tuned.

No need to rush these things!

Thanks, John — agreed, always a good reminder not to get stuck in a flavor rut.
Hmmm....do I sense that you feel you may have grown up in a pre-packaged, pre-made dystopia?
It really wasn't that bad--look how far it has taken you!
I love you.
Ha! Not even close!
Friday mornings + CWD = a match made in heaven
Thanks, Cliff!
"That willingness to do the extra work — and enjoy the process — is what resonates."
Work becomes good "flow"when we decide to do something interesting and challenging and control when/how it's done. Unlike work at ... work!
I envy your Martha's Vineyard jaunt, Lou. I used to decamp to Nantucket for periodic brain cleanses. Always worked well!
